We’re really pleased to be sponsoring the prestigious National Police Dog Trials, hosted by West Yorkshire Police. It is a brilliant event in the canine calendar that brings together some of the very best dog and handler teams from across the UK.
Across several days, the trials put teams through their paces in scenarios that reflect real operational work. From tracking over difficult ground to searching buildings and open spaces, each exercise shows the level of control, trust and skill needed to do the job properly. It is not just about competition, it is about demonstrating what these teams do day in, day out to keep people safe.
The event builds up to the Family Fun Day at Nostell, which gives the public a chance to see everything up close. There are live demonstrations, chances to meet different units and a real sense of how much work goes on behind the scenes. It is a great atmosphere and a chance for people to connect with the teams in a more relaxed setting.
For us at Tudor Treadmills, being involved just makes sense. We work with dogs that need to be fit, strong and ready to perform, so being around teams that rely on those same qualities every day is something we really value. These police dogs are not just highly trained, they are athletes, and their conditioning plays a huge part in how well they can do their job.
We will also be there on the day exhibiting our underwater hydrotherapy treadmill, giving people a chance to see how this type of equipment can support conditioning, rehabilitation and overall canine wellbeing. It is just one part of the bigger picture when it comes to keeping working dogs fit and ready, and it ties in closely with the level of care and preparation these teams put in behind the scenes.
We are looking forward to a great few days, meeting people, seeing the dogs in action and celebrating the partnership between handlers and their dogs that makes all this possible.
